Former McDonald's Corporate Chef Shares Secret to Perfect Fries
at Home
In a recent interview, a former
McDonald's corporate chef revealed a secret to achieving the perfect taste and
texture of McDonald's French fries at home. He explained, "Do you want to
buy McDonald's French fries from the store? I used to work for McDonald's as a
corporate chef, and I have an answer for you now. You also need to worry about
the process in which you cook them because that's the only way you're going to
get them to taste like McDonald's French fries
The chef continued, "Some of you
might think you need to go to Walmart and buy their Great Value thin-cut French
fries because they're almost identical to McDonald's. But interestingly, there
are no deep fryer cooking instructions on the bag
He went on to explain that the key to
replicating the iconic flavor and crispy texture of McDonald's French fries is
all in the cooking process. The chef shared his tips for achieving the perfect
result at home, including soaking the potatoes in cold water for at least 30
minutes before cooking, using a specific type of oil with a high smoke point,
and cooking the fries in small batches at a high temperature. By following
these steps, you can enjoy the delicious taste of McDonald's French fries right
in your own kitchen
